Some impressions from the House of Lords...

Some impressions from the visit to the House of Lords from the Palestinian kids (we have so far only had time to ask a few)(see pic below of the kids meeting the Speaker of the House of Lords)

ON THE ONE HAND ...

"I was amazed when I went into the palace - it was the first time I'd been anywhere like that. Honestly it was the first time I'd been in such a rich house with things inside it made of gold. I felt honoured to be there and meet a member of the House of Lords and the Speaker."

"First of all, London is huge - it's beautiful - things are well-organised here ... I liked the queen's entrance ... and there was a place I really liked where there were lots of tables and paintings and pictures of wars - I liked that place" (this is a reference to a hall with pictures of the battles of Waterloo and Trafalgar)

"It's one of the most beautiful places I've been to in my life. Inside it there are many amazing things to see. "

ON THE OTHER HAND

"This history is different from my history because here, I see gold - they take care of their history here - If you go to Hesham's Palace in Jericho, everything has been taken from it...”

"All the plans that destroyed Palestine came from this place... I cannot forget the Balfour Declaration...This beautiful place has not got any solutions to heal our country..."
