On our way...

A really big thank you to the people who have been working hard to make sure everything is ready to go, starting tomorrow! In Palestine that is Abed and Khalid, Asma and Fatmeh, and in London so many people - today particularly with Lena, Hannah, Annika and the drivers and the teachers... Yesterday the kids' group leaders, Cecil, Hannah, Tanzil, Bibsi, Luna, Diarmaid... And the festival organisers, Rukaiya, Fareeda, Mary, Riz... On Saturday with the kids, Lynda, Sama, Joe... Actually altogether so many people and so much careful work, so I hope that it all goes according to plan and as smoothly as the English weather will let it!

To our Palestinian friends, leaving tomorrow morning: TRAVEL SAFELY AND WELL - LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON FRIDAY!!!

To everyone else, after all this planning, we are getting there - the Palestinians have their visas and their train tickets and their hotel booked for tomorrow night; the participant group in Britain is finalised and the preparation sessions were very good; the programme is designed and carefully gone over and over; accomm and driving and accompanying and drama workshop plans and events are sorted out; info has gone out to the kids in Britain, Dropbox is nearly straightened out, hundreds of pounds has been spent on rail tickets, the leaders' training has happened, a booklet for the kids has been printed and arrived, the school plans are now this evening nearly complete (we'll take this forward at camp), and that does leave the weather...

Tomorrow, we'll print off the info from Dropbox for all the camp leaders, as there won't be much in the way of internet or IT when you're there. I'll give this to you in packs when we meet at Waterloo station.

Everyone, please, the more you look at the Dropbox info and the more you point out things that don't seem to you to work, the closer we are to a very smooth running of this visit... which is what we're hoping for. And do familiarise yourself with the list of names of people you need to link to and of people to contact if things don't work according to plan. We have some flexibility built in... remember to let me know if you have ideas of what we should do with it.

And remember the blog... Let's keep putting things on here. If you need the password so you can sign on, contact us. Pictures, comments, video even... It would be great if you'd help to keep it alive.
